Scaling Impact Through Strategic Consulting

Humanitarian Collaborative Alumni Practitioner Fellow Melissa (Missy) Boucher, along with students Elisabeth Doty (MPP), Kate Hatley (BA), and Grace Theriot (BA), have teamed up through Boucher Impact Co., Missy’s independent consulting firm, to help mission-driven organizations scale their impact. The team has worked across a range of sectors, developing skills in strategy development, project management, and navigating grants and RFPs to support organizations at pivotal moments of growth.

This summer, the team supported Key-Log Economics in conducting an ecosystem services assessment for The Wilderness Society in response to a proposed oil drilling expansion in Alaska. Their work helped articulate the tangible environmental and social costs of development, equipping stakeholders with data-driven arguments to advocate for conservation. Through this hands-on consulting experience, the team is learning what it takes to bridge mission and metrics, aligning bold ideas with actionable and scalable strategies.
