Andrea Borgarello (Present)

Andrea Borgarello is a development economist and photographer with expertise in migration, especially in the Central Mediterranean and along migration routes to Italy. He has worked for numerous international organizations such as the Organization for Migration (IOM), UNHCR, the World Bank, FAO, the African Development Bank, the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, as well as various foundations and NGOs. He has published several books and his work has been featured in DAYSJapan, GEO France, L’EUROPEO, TerraMater, The Other Hundred, AAP Magazine, among others. He is a co-Founder of the Imagine Foundation, which uses mobile cinema as a means to foster community engagement and participation.
