UN Humanitarian Fund Internships Now Open

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) is recruiting five interns to join the team managing the UN’s global humanitarian fund, the Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF). These internships offer students the opportunity to contribute to substantive, high-impact work, including anticipatory and climate-smart humanitarian action, evidence-based rapid response, and the identification of the world’s most neglected crises. Interns may also support initiatives to integrate gender considerations, develop AI tools to strengthen early warning, and work with partners to track the impact of humanitarian funding.

Positions are open to undergraduate students in their final year, graduate students, and recent graduates (within one year of completion, not before early 2025). While in-person or hybrid internships are preferred, remote or part-time arrangements may be possible. Internships are unpaid. The application deadline is October 12, 2025.
