Batten students collaborate with alumnus at World Bank on Poverty & Equity Briefs

Two Batten MPP students, Mikayla Havison and Alvin Tran Nguyen, partnered with Batten alum Cameron Haddad (MPP ’19) to edit the World Bank’s Poverty and Equity Brief series. These country-level summaries help make complex economic data more accessible to policymakers around the world.

The students edited 128 briefs and gained firsthand insight into the intersection of global research, policy communication, and development practice. The collaboration, supported by Professor of Practice Lucy Bassett and the Humanitarian Collaborative, may be continued for future Batten students.
